Conferences
From our very first event in 1999 to date, we have been very busy building successful events and raising our client’s profile within their industry.
11 - 13 June 2019 - International Institute of Obsolescence Management Conference & Exhibition - London, UK
This three day event comprised a one day workshop followed by two days of conference sessions with a trade exhibition adjacent to the conference room. The event offered lots of networking opportunities at the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner on a Thames Riverboat.
A higher International delegate attendance is expected as a result of an increased interest in setting up International Chapters of IIOM.
Cognition AM supplied full event management services for all aspects of this conference including staff at the event to provide on-site services.

23 - 25 April 2018 - International Tin Conference 2018 - Budapest, Hungary
The biennial International Tin Conference has grown over the years to become the unmissable highlight of the tin calendar, regularly drawing over 250 delegate from across the industry. This event was the first held in Europe for over a decade.
This event will opened with a cocktail reception, followed by two days of conference sessions and a Dinner Cruise on the River Danube. There was also an optional networking tour that visited many of the beautiful sights in Budapest.
Cognition AM have sourced the venues and services for this conference, organised customs clearance for conference materials, and supplied full event management services for all aspects of this conference including staff at the event.

The Asia Tin Week included the ITRI Asia Tin Summit, China Solder Technology Forum and Futures Market and Hedging Seminar. The event offered lots of networking opportunities at the Welcome Reception, Gala Dinner, SHFE Visit and visit to Yu Gardens.
Cognition AM built the international delegate conference website including delegate registration, managed the international speaker programme, all international marketing.

This was a new event owned by Cognition AM Ltd. The European Commission released its long expected draft Regulation on Responsible Conflict Minerals Sourcing on 5th March 2014, proposing a voluntary self-certification scheme supported by due diligence for importers of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold. This launch event was a one day conference, preceded by a networking dinner. The event was also live streamed to participants around the world.

Cognition AM organise the IIOM UK Chapter Members meetings, the UKWF Regional Meetings and FNET All Member Meetings and committee meetings .

IIOM member meetings (Previously COG)
These are like mini conferences with speakers and discussion group leaders giving the latest updates on industry related “hot topics”. The meeting day is preceded by a members networking dinner the evening before. Cognition source the speakers, co-ordinate members registrations, market the meeting to industry guests and handle their registration, negotiate venues and provide staff at the event and all the documentation for the day. All information is then loaded onto clients’ website for members to access.

Cognition organise speakers and discussion group leaders giving the latest updates on industry topics and Legal Metrology matters. We co-ordinate members registrations, market the meeting to industry guests and handle their registration, negotiate venues and provide staff at the event and all the documentation for the day. All information is then loaded onto clients’ website for members to access.

Workshops
COG Workshops
These workshops were run by Industry Specialists presenting Electronics Obsolescence related topics and were intended to give the opportunity for in-depth discussion of obsolescence related topics. The workshops were interactive, with presentations in the morning and team exercises and discussion sessions in the afternoon.
Cognition AM managed these since their inception in 2001 until 2013 when they were discontinued in favour of Endorsed training courses by external suppliers.
We handled the sourcing of speakers, delegate registration, venue negotiation, all course materials and attend the workshops to facilitate the presentations and registration.
